LANG: SPANISH

Advanced Spanish, taught by Ms. Wildfong, teaches us how to become proficient in our speaking and listening skills by speaking only Spanish in class. Every term, we make notes of all the vocabulary covered in class and define them in Spanish. In this class, we also watch shows such as El Internado and CoCo, to improve our listening and understanding of the language. At the end of each term, we turn in a sheet of 120 vocab words defined in Spanish, along with 10 listening logs of shows or music we listened to individually.

At the beginning of A term, we wrote an essay about a topic from our childhood. I wrote my essay on the time when I found out Santa was not real. This was when I was 7, and I wanted to keep believing in Santa, but one of my friends gave the truth away. This essay had us incorporate preterite (Spanish past tense) and imperfect, and helped me understand writing in Spanish better. Trouble viewing the PDF? Click here!

During B Term, we were assigned a project to create memes in Spanish about topics related to MAMS. I created 3 memes along with Saara P. about how it feels to raise your hand at MAMS, how I feel about my STEM project, and how it feels to present something at MAMS. Trouble viewing the PDF?
