About ME!

Dance

For as long as I can remember dance has been a huge part of my life. Since I was eight years old, I have been learning Kuchipudi which is an ancient dance form originating from India. Learning Kuchipudi enabled me to learn about my culture, explore my creative side, and just be able to relax and be myself. Throughout the years dance has continued to be one of the biggest things that defines me as a person.

Robot Image Robotics at Franklin Robotics Team

Robotics

I first got a hand in robotics in my freshman year of high school. Despite having no knowledge of engineering, hardware, or software, I jumped right in just to try something new. Since then, I continued to be a member of the Franklin Robotics team in VEX but also at the local FIRST (FTC) team in my town. The intersection between science, math, and creativity is something I have always loved and was what prompted me to build a career in STEM. Apart from the robot designing aspect, even being a member of the team whether it is for outreach, scouting, etc. is just as fun of an experience and something I genuinely enjoy. I am very excited this year to become part of the MAMS robotics team and am really looking forward to it!

Music

Band Band Band

As a member of the Franklin music program, I participated as a percussionist in my sending school’s wind ensemble, a snare drummer in the marching/pep band, a mentor in the middle school jazz bands, and a volunteer of the Franklin Tri-M chapter. Music has become an inherent part of my identity and some of the best friends, memories, and experiences I have are through the band. I hope that as a junior at MAMS I can continue at the WPI music program and strengthen my skill over there.

Math Team

This year at MAMS I am very excited to join the math team. The math team runs every Wednesday after school and students compete at several different WOCOMAL competitions. It is an opportunity for all students to challenge their mathematical abilities and be part of an equally fun club.

Volunteering

This past summer I have been volunteering at the Franklin Historical Museum in my town. At the museum some of the things I do include helping with setting up exhibits, being a guide for visitors, etc. Recently my project has been to scan historical documents and help in creating and adding to the museum archives. I also volunteer through robotics at the local FLL team as a part time mentor.
