French is an immersive language class taught by Madame Wildfong. In this class, students are required to converse only in French and are taught through a variety of French mediums, including books, media, films, and television. A special tradition in the language classes is combining our French-speaking skills with creativity to create a short film entirely in French. These films are later premiered in MAMs during a short film festival.
One of our projects in French involved creating amusing memes that highlighted student life at MAMS. Shown below are some of the memes I created, along with their translations:
Translations of the memes:
• Me when I remember I have homework for a class at 9:40, and the class starts at 9:45.
• I have a project due on October 10. Me on October 9 at 12 a.m.
• How I practice for my presentation vs. how I actually present.
At the beginning of the year, we also complete an art presentation on various French artists, where we research and describe their work. For my presentation, I showcased the work of French artist Jacqueline Marval.
