In math class, we learn math related concepts and ideas. So far, we have learned about shuffling, statistics, and algebra. In math class, we often work togehter to solve problems and share solutions.

HiMCM Practice - Roller Coaster Ranking System

This assignment gave us a set of roller coasters and told us to create a way to rank them. The solution presented was

1) Casting each attribute of the roller coasters to floats
2) Representing each roller coaster as a vector (comprised of their float attributes)
3) Comparing each roller coaster vector to a generated ideal roller coaster vector, using a dot product, from default modifiable parameters that indicate roller coaster preference

MTFC

For MTFC, we as a team are considering financial modelling and programming. The risk we chose to mitigate was risk of monetary loss due to market volatility within hedge funds and other entities on a market. We are using my CS project as baseline code. The baseline code is a basic gradient boosting tree ensemble that attempts to predict whether the next close will be higher or lower then the next open.
