In this class, we do a combination of history and english. We often have class discussions and group assignments. We do analysis and deep critical thinking practice.
For this assignment, we needed to write an analysis for any satire we wanted. I chose American Psycho. I chose American Psycho because it was a film I was familiar with. I re-watched the film and read the script multiple times over while working on the project. This analysis was interesting to write because it had a lot of satire of the upper class, much of which is still relevant today.
For this assignment, we had a set amount of time to write a rhetorical analysis of a given piece. We were given time in class to prepare ahead of time. I chose the Gandhi piece because he was an influential rights activist and had significant influence. We had around an hour to write the piece.
