I was born in Framingham, Massachusetts on March 12, 2007. I lived there for 8 years until I moved to Southborough, Massachusetts, where I still live today! I live with my mom, my dad, my older brother Justin, my younger sister Amanda, and my dog Romo.
All Mass Academy students must complete at least one hundred hours of community service during their time at the school to graduate. During my time volunteering, I learned important life lessons about perspectives and kindness. As someone with a love for math myself, I spent the majority of my time as a tutor for students in math classes and clubs. Whether it was in person or miles away, I loved how I was able to help students learn and appreciate how fun math can really be, even if it was frustrating at times.

Since October, I have participated as a coach for the Mathletes program at Saint Bernadette, a local school in Northborough, Massachusetts. I loved coming in every Thursday to work together with the kids on new and fun math concepts, and I am excited to say that I plan on coming back for next year’s Mathletes program as well!
Math Kangaroo is a non-profit organization that runs fun math competitions for all students across the United States in all grades K-12. In addition to their competitions, Math Kangaroo offers virtual math lessons for students, covering a range of both fun and useful math topics for students to use on the exam as well as in the future. I volunteered as a teacher’s assistant for the first and second-grade classes. Not only were the students adorable, but I also loved being able to play fun math-related games and watch the students grow and learn math-related concepts together. If you are more curious about Math Kangaroo, you can find their website here.
