Science and Technical Writing:

In Science and Technical Writing, the class learns about better techniques in writing as well as necessary contents and writing assignments for the STEM fair in February. Each day, the class would learn about a new necessary document required for the STEM fair along with helpful tips in writing and grammar from the Eighth Edition of Rules for Writers by Diana Hacker and Nancy Sommers. As of early January, the class has gone over abstracts in scientific papers, notes files, and literature reviews. Below are two major assignments for STW.

STEM I Notes File:

This document contains all of the currently used resources and references for my STEM project. Each reference is cited in MLA 8 format as well as a short summary of the reference, key points on why the source may be important, and the general information acquired from the reference that I would use for the project.

Literature Review:

This document provides necessary background information about my STEM project. The document includes: an introduction to the current problem, information on why my project is important and plausible, and information on specific aspects of my project.
