This was the first and best book that I've
read this year. It's funny, it's heartbreaking, and it takes place
right over the border in New Hampshire.
I love this book, I was actually re-reading
it, but I'm still going to count it. It's very funny and one of
my original favorite books.
This book was good, but a bit overrated. It's
short and sad. It's not by any stretch the best book I've ever read, but I'm glad
that I did.
I wanted so badly to like this book, but I
felt like parts of it dragged a bit. There are parts of this book
that make reading it more than worth it, but it's not the first book
that I would recommend.
I loved this book! It was an interesting
exploration of the impact of Trujillo's reign in the Dominican
Republic and the characters were incredible.
This book was great, everyone should read it,
and so on. I was finishing this book when my dad (who lent me the
book) picked me up and I asked to finish the last few pages in the car next
to him. He later said it was one of the best questions he's ever
heard.
Reading this book truly does feel like
experiencing a tragedy. The beginning is full of these incredible,
creative plague stories (I can never ride a roller coaster again
after reading this), but then it just starts getting worse.
I despise this book and don't know why I keep trying to like it.
This was the third time that I've read it (first time all the way
through) and I never like it. It was okay in that I had something to
read, but I generally don't like romance books and this was just too
much for me. It was like reading an alternate, worse version of A
Man Called Ove.
