French is taught by Mme. Wildfong. This class focuses on learning French through immersion and conversation, where students are put into authentic situations where they can pick up grammar and vocabulary in context. Students also write, direct and act in their own movie which is presented at the end of the year.
This was the first assignment we were tasked with in this class. We were asked to write a short essay detailing our opinion and reflection over an article that talked about the beneftis of being bilingual.
I liked this assignment particularly as it helped teach me the importance and purpose of the class, and gave me a fresh perspective on how one sees the world.

I chose to write about a pirate who went to an island in order to find lost treasure, and who had to deal with many obstacles along the way.
Writing about a fairy tale myself, more than just being fun, was a great way to gain a greater grasp of using the past tenses in French.
