French
Language class is taught by Mme. Wildfong. I take Advanced French, and over the course of the year, we have watched various French films, read French texts, listened to French music, and even ate French food (I ate so much that day). There is especially a focus on making the class immersive, so it is taught only in French, which not only forces us to completely engage ourselves in French, but also lets us develop better language-learning skills.
Azur et Asmar Essay
A little earlier in the year, we watched the animated French film "Azur et Asmar" and wrote essays recounting scenes from the film from the perspective of other characters. My essay was from the perspective of Princess Shamsous-Sabah and used a variety of French tenses, including the conditional, future, imperfect, and past tenses.
Conte de Fee
One of our first essays for the year was to write our own unique fairytale with an emphasis on using the imperfect tense.
