I am a PhD student at WPI in the Physics Department. My research work couples with WPI's Material Science and Engineering Department. I joined here in August 2005, after completing my MSc in Physics from India. I worked for a couple of years in the area of Nonlinear Optics at Hyderabad Central University. My main focus is to engineer materials which have high thermal conductivity for thermal management in electronic, ICs industry, and low thermal conductivity for thermoelectric (TE) applications such as energy generation and refrigerator cooling. My research work focuses on thermal characterization of Nanowires, Nanotubes, and Nanocomposite materials. I am studying specific heat and thermal conductivity of CoNWs, CNTs, Cu Nanorods, and Nanocomposite materials from room temperature to higher temperatures. I like playing table tennis, cricket, and long tennis in my spare time.

I am a PhD student at WPI majoring in Materials Science and Engineering and my student life in the U.S. began in 2008. Currently my research is focusing on the fabrication and study of nano-sized materials (CNTs, etc.) I received both my Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree from the Department of Chemical Engineering, Nanjing University of Technology, China. My Master's thesis focused on recovering ethylene from industrial gas by adsorption method. I like sports such as soccer, basketball, and volleyball.

I am a Master's student in WPI's Materials Science & Engineering Department. I graduated from WPI in 2008 with a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Biomechanics. I am very interested in surfaces of medical implants. My research focuses on surface-bacteria interaction on the nano-scale. When not studying I am a teaching assistant for the MTE department and I enjoy participating in theatre, Material Advantage, classical ballet, watching TV and movies, and designing/maintaining webpages.
