Physics
This algebra and calculus-focused course taught my Mrs. Chase explores the complex topics of Mechanics and Electricity and Magnetism through discussions, classroom activities, and labs. Students design and conduct their own experiments, analyze data statistically, and present findings through journals, posters, and presentations.
Dynamics Lab
For this assignment, we were allowed to create our own lab with a team. My team and I made a lab involving a block and a cup in a modified Atwood machine to find the static coefficient of friction of the table. The cup was slowly filled with water until it just started moving, and the volume of water needed to fill the cup was measured. This data was then plotted to find the static coefficient of friction..
Acceleration on an Inclined Plane
In this experiment, our objective was to determine the acceleration of a cart moving down an inclined plane. This was achieved by varying the distance and angle of the incline and measuring the cart's velocity over several trials. Subsequently, we linearized the collected data to calculate the cart's acceleration.
