FRENCH

French Immersion, taught by Madame Wildfong, is split up into two levels: intermediate and advanced. Both classes are taught entirely “en français”, using movies, books, and music to further understanding of the language. In A and B terms, the advanced class read and watched Beauty and the Beast, watched Azur and Asmar, and started to read and watch Les Misérables.

This was the very first assignment we had in French class. It truly encapsulates the reason why we take French - learning a second language allows you to open your views in ways that you never knew were closed before.

This was the second essay (in French) that I wrote for class. Each term, we are required to produce one essay, and for B term, we had to write a short essay in the form of a journal from one of the characters in the movie Azur and Asmar. We watched the movie in class previously and had lots of discussions on it, and had to include information from the movie in our essays to make them as realistic as possible.
