As the need for better water resource management becomes more prevalent due to the warming Earth, the ways we produce food must adapt to remain sustainable. High tunnels can help produce more food, and through certain irrigation methods the amount of water they use can be reduced; however, rainwater can be wasted. The importance of my project lies with how it can be part of the solution for reducing water waste within the realm of high tunnel agriculture.
