Money Money People should bear in mind that there is no "cash machine" on the plateau. Some visitors use Euro traveller's checks, but if you prefer cash, be sure to visit the cash machines before leaving the train station or airport, for pocket money. While Auberge des Causses and Auberge de Roc Castel do take visa cards, one cannot count on credit cards for small restaurants and lodgings.
In a pinch, Henry will accept a personal check (in US or Canadian dollars, or euros) and will pay the local service providers with a single check. But this full cost must be settled at registration time, Sunday evening. Exchange rates as of that evening.
Meeting Points For those needing transportation from the Montpelier train station or airport, the meeting point to which you should go to find your "chauffeur" is:
At the Gare de Montpelier: On the upper level, at one of two square arrangements of seats in front of the enclosed ticket sales area marked "billets".
At the Montpelier airport: in the Hall d'Arrivée near sortie B, in front of the Welcome desk "acceuil" operated by the Agglomeration de Montpelier.
If there is any problem, such as a delayed arrival time, you can call Henry: tel: (33) 4 67 44 69 55 (int'l) tel 04 67 44 69 55
Clothing to bring. Conference attire will be casual. We suggest that you bring bathing suits, non-slip shoes, and at least a small towel, since, if it is as hot as expected, you will be able to take a dip in the waterfall on the river Vis at the Cirque de Navacelles.
Those who want to hike should bring hiking shoes.
