Periodically, IHSAN Student Chapter puts on events to raise awareness on-campus about issues in third world nations. We also conduct fundraising for the people our projects are meant.
Christmas in Africa
Are you looking for a small gift to get a loved one, a relative, a friend or possibly yourself? Want to support a good cause while getting something? Just in time for Christmas, we have come to help! “Christmas in Africa” will take place in the Campus Center, December 6th and 9th from 11-2pm.
We are selling an array of handmade necklaces, bracelets, purses, earrings, and more! These items were all handmade in Kenya and proceeds will go back to help the women who made them support their children through school and provide for their families. In addition to these one-of-a-kind handmade products, we will be selling aloe soap, also handmade in Kenya! Prices for these items start at just $5. There’s something for everyone—men, women, boys and girls! Furthermore, all items will be wrapped for you, so no need to worry if you aren’t good at wrapping—we’ve got you covered! Wrapping is of course free!
