Physics

Physics is an advanced class that prepares us for whichever of the AP Physics tests we plan on taking. We learn topics such as multidimensional kinematics, projectiles, dynamics, energy, momentum, circular motion, and gravity. This class forces us to form and manipulate equations, and sometimes find connections between these different topics in order to solve complex problems.

Momentum investigation

In this investigation, we used carts and sensors that recorded velocity to prove different theorems widely used in physics. My group focused on proving the impulse momentum theory along with proving that in elastic collisions, energy is conserved.

Dynamics Lab

To figure out how the acceleration of a washer on an inclined Atwood machine changed as the hanging mass increased, I carried out a lab investigation, where the average acceleration of the washer for different hanging mass weights were recorded, and analyzed to determine the relation between acceleration and mass on an Atwood machine.
