What strategy would you advise a friend to use to benefit from this course?

from the Student Course Evaluations Forms completed in my MA1022 sections when this course was taught in several previous academic years:

• Study
• Study lots
• Study and do HW
• Do the work
• Do the homework
• Do all the HW problems
• Do the homework and test preview problems
• Do a lot of practice before tests
• Do all the HW and make sure you understand it before the test
• Do you homework/assignments. It's an easy "A"
• Do extra HW & go to class
• Do lots of examples from the text
• Attend class and prepare for quizzes in advance
• Take Calc in high school

• Read the book
• Use the book
• Read the book, go to class, study hard, do homework, and get extra help
• Do a lot of studying on your own

• Take the course with this Professor
• Go to Professor's office hours if have questions
• Go to MASH for help with HW problems

• Follow the students' advice!
• Not sure about "an easy A" (see above) due to only successful HW
• Know the contents of the Test Preview web page(two days before the test)
• Go to the Test Preview Help Session (on the day preceding the test)
• Visit Math Tutoring Center for additional help
