Academic Projects
Among our most important activities are providing courses in dramatic literature and technology, many with the listing under EN. Additionally, we advise projects including the MQP for Drama/Theatre majors, the "HQP" [aka as the Humanities and Arts Inquiry Seminar or Practicum], Independent Studies Projects for 1/6th credit or 1/3rd credit, usually listed as TH, in which an undergraduate may do specific work on performances in the Little Theatre, and occasionally an IQP during E term, on campus or off. Each credit opportunity is taught or advised by a faculty member who is part of the Department of Humanities and Arts, Division of Drama/Theatre.
Theatre Spaces
Drama/Theatre facilitates the academic theatre productions in the Little Theatre, the WPI Drama/Theatre dedicated theatre space. In the Little Theatre most productions include an option for undergraduates to enroll in the 1/6th credit mentioned previously. Drama/Theatre also maintains the other dedicated theatre support spaces, usually shared with MASQUE, WPI's undergraduate student theatre organization, including the Alden Hall Green Room, and the Scenic Design Studio and props and costumes storage in the sub-basement of Alden Hall.
