Symposium on EMG Decomposition 2007
VENUE & CAMPUS INFORMATION
Venue
The symposium will take place on the campus of Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), 100 Institute Road, Worcester, Massachusetts, U.S.A. If you will be driving to campus, click here for driving directions using popular on-line mapping software: Google Maps (to WPI, Worcester, MA) or MapQuest (to WPI, Worcester, MA). Worcester is an approximate 1¼ hour drive from Boston. Although based in the city of Worcester, the main campus has the look and feel of a small New England school (wooded campus with brick-exterior buildings).
Most of the meeting sessions will take place in the top (third) floor of the WPI Campus Center. The Campus Center is located near the center of campus. It houses the school book store, a dining facility, student function rooms, administrative offices (primarily related to student social activities) and numerous meeting rooms.
WPI Campus Maps / Campus Parking
The main WPI campus can be traversed by foot in less than ten minutes. If arriving by car, park on campus in any location marked "Vistor". (Avoid visitor spots specifically marked for "Admissions Visitor" as these spots are reserved for prospective students who are visiting the campus.) WPI has a few different parking lots. The "Quadrangle Area" (or "Quad") is most central and very close to the Campus Center. This location is recommended. On the two-dimensional campus map, Quadrangle Area parking is located between the Barlett Center (labeled number five on this map) and Alumni Gym (labeled number three on this map). Additional details of on-campus parking are available from the WPI "Visitor Parking" Web Page. Street parking is also available at many locations around campus. If you park on the street, be sure to obey any posted parking signs.
After parking, proceed to the "Campus Center." A two-dimensional campus map can be found at "http://cms-dev.wpi.edu/walkingmap.pdf". The Campus Center is labeled with the number seven on this map. WPI is a small campus (and generally friendly!), thus nearly anyone you meet should be able to help direct you to the Campus Center. The symposium will meet in the Hagglund Room on the third floor of the Campus Center. (Note that if you enter the Campus Center at its main entrance, you will enter on the second floor. Building exits/entrances in the rear are on the first floor.)
