The process includes reading scientific literature, talking to professionals, and gaining exposure to scientific methods. STEM II was a three-month-long group project regarding assistive technology. It included client communication, the engineering design process, and collaboration.
Learn moreHumanities is taught by Ms. Small. The class integrates English and History courses, with a focus on, "what does it mean to be human?" Rather than having lectures, the class is discussion based, which encourages us to hear others' ideas and form our own opinions.
Learn moreFrench is taught by Ms. Wildfong. I learned French for 4 years before transferring to Mass Academy, so I was placed in the advanced class. The class is taught in an immersion style through Francophone media and culture. We are required to only speak French during class, meaning we get a lot of practice.
Learn moreI have been a student pilot since I was 11 at Northampton Airport (7B2) in Northampton, MA. I discovered my passion for flying at a young age through my grandfather, as he got his Light sport private pilot license. I routinely fly a Cessna 162 Skycatcher. I received my student pilot license when I turned 16 and had my solo flight in October 2022. Flying has taught me a lot about focus and discipline. Click to see some videos!
I have been an Indian Classical Dancer since I was 6 years old. Bharatnatyam is one of the many major classical dance styles in India. I had my arangetram, solo dance debut, in July 2022. My teacher was Smt. Urvi Pathak who has her studio in Farmington, CT, and her dance company is Satvikam Shivam. Bharatnatyam taught me stamina and passion, all of which I learned to develop as I progressed. Click to see some images!
