This project examines the impact of five columns on two levels of Worcester Polytechnic Institute's new Campus Center. Several new structural designs are examined, and one of these designs is selected (based on cost effectiveness, facilitation of mechanical service installation, vibration characteristics and weight), it is then developed in more detail, and all appropriate design calculations performed, as well as a new cost and schedule analysis of the structure.
