STEEL WORK JULY'98

By late July, the metal studs for the north wall have been completed.
This worker uses a saw to cut the metal framing studs.
The bowstring trusses arrived at the site pre-assembled in the late days of July.
They are lifted by a crane from the ground and then lowered into place by awaiting steel workers.
The crane operator uses a spreader to pick the truss in two places.
Steel workers await the crane to deliver the truss and prepare to bolt it into place.
Two workers bolt down each side, while another awaits to bolt down the steel piece connecting the trusses.
In only a few days, with proper preparation, all the bowstring trusses have been set in place.
