I’ve never really thought of myself as much of a writer––given that I attend a “math and science” school, this is not surprising. However, over the past two years I’ve been writing heaps more than I ever had before. In the 2022 Scholastic Arts and Writing Awards, I received a Gold Key for my piece “Are They Not?” and an honorable mention for my piece “This Reminded Me of You.” In the 2021 Canton Writes Competition, I won 3rd place for my piece “Dad’s Pizza Nights” and in 2022 I won 2nd place for “Are They Not?” allowing my work to be published. At my sending school, my work was featured a few times in the school literary magazine as well.
