Future Problem Solving Program International

The Future Problem Solving Program International(FPSPI) is a competition in which I’ve competed in Global Issues Problem Solving (GIPS) and Community Problem Solving (CmPS).

Community Problem Solving

Project REMOTE (Reimagining Educational and Meaningful Opportunities to Engage) aimed to offer learners access to educational videos, live video chat sessions, and numerous other activities for elementary school students to explore. One of our main objectives was increasing interest in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) in the younger members of our community during COVID. After placing second in the state, we qualified for the Future Problem Solving International Conference, where we placed 2nd worldwide! It was a really amazing moment for me, as Project REMOTE had become almost like a full-time job to plan, organize, and produce. This is one of my proudest accomplishments given that our success was fueled by hard-work and determination.

Project P.R.E.P. (Protecting Residents with Emergency Preparedness) aimed to prepare my community for emergency weather situations. Working alongside a neighboring town’s CmPS Team, our combined team hosted question and answer sessions with our local leaders, created educational brochures and guidance, and organized emergency supplies drives to distribute to our community. Once qualifying for the Future Problem Solving International Conference, we placed 2nd in the world in the senior division, despite most of our team being in the age-range of the junior division!
