NSF Awards $108,000 Equipment Grant to
Analog Microelectronics Laboratory
The National Science Foundation has awarded a grant of $108,434 to
the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Worcester
Polytechnic Institute, for the purchase of test and measurement
equipment which will be dedicated to support work in the
Analog Microelectronics Research Laboratory, under the direction of Prof.
John A. McNeill. Additional funds contributed by WPI under a
cost sharing arrangement will raise
the total amount available to $174,434.
The equipment to be purchased will support
research in the
areas of high speed data communication, high speed imaging, and mixed signal
circuit characterization.
In addition to the direct impact on research, this equipment will also
enable the Analog Microelectronics Laboratory to become a valuable
resource for educating both undergraduates and graduate students in the
complete integrated circuit design process.
