Research Interests
Last modified: June 21, 2021
I am a mathematician. My main area of research is
algebraic combinatorics.
I work mostly with
distance-regular graphs.
A generalisation of this concept is the concept of an
association
scheme. I am also interested in error-correcting
codes and
combinatorial designs. The
theory of association schemes (and
distance-regular graphs) provides an algebraic approach to
codes and designs and this approach has been very successful
over the past twenty years. My particular interests lately include the theory of Q-polynomial association
schemes and applications of the linear programming bound.
I have a few papers on these subjects.
I once compiled a list of open problems.
Please feel free to contact me about these; for example, if one of them is
already solved.
I also work in cryptography and am interested in various aspects of quantum information theory.
My other research interests include: theoretical computer science;
telecommunications; graph theory; pure mathematics.
