Physics

In physics, we have learned about kinematics, dynamics, energy, momentum, and power. To understand these concepts, we were taught the algebraic ideas behind them, students are allowed to learn calculus involved in these concepts as well.

One of the problems we had to solve was the Über Rocket problem, in which we could either use algebra or calculus to solve. The calculus version, which I did, had us calculate the amount of time that a rocket would remain in the air given certain information about it.

Another problem we had to solve was the Über Pulley problem, which I solved using algebra. For this problem, I had to calculate the coefficient of friction of the ground, given that a sled was being flung off the ramp via a weighted pulley, and that after falling, it travelled a specific distance.
