My name is Jonah Sagarin and I am a junior at the Massachusetts Academy of Mathematics and Science. Before coming to Mass Academy, I went to Algonquin Regional High School. Throughout my high school experience, I have learned a lot about many subjects.
I have participated in various extracurriculars in school such as computer programming club and robotics club. In programming club, I learned the basics of Python and how to apply it to some competition code. In robotics, I learned how to apply code into robotic competitions. For one challenge, I had to write code for mecanum movement.
I have various hobbies including board games, playing the hammered dulcimer, and fencing. Playing board games has been a tradition in my extended family for a long time. We play games such as Caverna, Seven Wonders, Betrayal at House on the Hill, etc. I also enjoy fencing. I have been fencing foil for about three or four years at the Worcester Fencing Club. I fence competitively and I have been to a few tournaments. In addition, I have been playing the hammered dulcimer since I was ten years old. It is a very interesting instrument and is very important to me.
