Projects

This project is about "projects" rather than being technical in nature as the first two were.

If you are a freshman or sophomore then this course has given you perhaps some of your first project experience. In this, you may have found out things about your self as well as other people; things good, perhaps things not so good. In any event, valuable experience.

Your job as a group is to productively summarize this experience and to do some thinking about the idea of working in a project group.

So…your paper should address the following:

· what each person learned about their ability to contribute to a project

· what, if anything, each person learned about their limitations

· what each person learned about complementing other people

In the way of management, what have you learned as a group about such things as

· time management

· responsibility

· scheduling

· effective communication

· writing ?

Finally, please consider the following statement and respond to it

The result of having a team of people work on a project should be more than merely the components. The final product should be more than just the works of each person stapled together and handed in. Members should perhaps challenge each other, inspire each other and complement each other. The whole should be greater than the sum of the parts.

This paper is due in one week, on December 15. It must include the names of all participants and be signed by all participants or it will not be graded.
