As you already know my name is Isabel but my friends call me CHABE. I live in Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico and go to school in San Juan, Puerto Rico (the capital). The name of my high school is Saint John’s School. Next year I’m going to be a senior and plan to have lots of fun.

I love sports (especially soccer and volleyball), music, parties, and acting. My academic interests are science and math. This is why I spent last summer as an apprentice for the NASA Sharp Plus Program and participated this year in the Frontiers Program at WPI in Massachusetts in the math department.

During these two weeks I learned a whole bunch of mathematics that John (my teacher) called "higher math." And quite frankly, he made us feel as we were learning really hard and complicated stuff that didn't seem that hard at all so it felt really cool to talk about it and have people just go nuts because they had absolutely no clue of what you were talking about! We learned about encryption/decryption, number theory, Euclid's algorithm, and a whole bunch of other cool stuff - like fractals (check that out in the math page). I really enjoyed my stay here so I urge all of you to apply! Its tons of fun!
