Celebrate Mole Day at 6:02 on October 23 !!!
Here at Mass Academy we celebrate Mole Day in a big way when we are in
session. Since only students who have not taken Chemistry in their home
schools before coming junior year take the elective, it is important for
us to let everyone know about its approach who isn't in our class.
- We post a count down to mole day on the walls
- We create little mole critters in key locations, made from a stamp I
created on colored paper.
- We create mole pencils or lollypops for everyone, with a smaller
version of the stamps and
lables like "I am 28 grams, 22.4 liters, 12.04x10^23 atoms of CO",
students must do all of the relationships and use compounds with
polyatomic ions.
- We have a web page competition which students began a few years
ago simultaneously on their own
- We have a "mole day party" food expressed as mole, of course, and
share with others.
- Do You have any other ideas?
