This course takes an algebra and calculus-based approach to physics concepts

Course Overview

This curriculum follows the AP Physics course. Through classroom discussions and collaborative work, students learn about mechanics, gravitation, electricity, magnetism, waves, and harmonic oscillations. We design, build, and debug our own experiments and lab apparatuses.

Acceleration Investigation

During A-Term, we investigated motion with motion carts and low friction inclined planes. This lab was aimed to determine if a cart had constant acceleration or constant speed. Then, we wrote our results from the lab in a Claim Evidence Reasoning (CER) format.

Dynamics Lab

This self-produced lab was aimed to determine if our observations were consistent with Newton's Laws.
