The Athena Council is a collection of 9 females from the MetroWest
community, selected by the Metrowest Commission on the Status of
Women.
We act as the "little sisters" to the Commission!
As for the work we do...we've done a lot of work with public
listening circles, as they offer a lot of insight into the actual
experiences people have had. We recently conducted a survey on mental
health in students and initially presented the findings at an ice
cream social for local legislators!
Through that inital
ice-cream social, we went on to present at the MA State House to
Senate President Karen Spilka and her Youth Advisory Council!
Founded in 2019, the Framingham Youth Council is a group of 13 young adults- each representing one of Framingham's districts and the Mayor's representative. Our role is to represent the youth voice in Framingham and advise the primary Framingham City Council. This is my fourth term serving as the district 4 representative! I currently chair the Academic Achievement and Health subcommittees! Tap on the image below to read a bit more about me as a council member.

I am arguably the biggest water lover ever!
I've been
swimming competitively since I was around 6/7 years old and it has
been a significant part of my life ever since. I currently swim for
my club team- the Metrowest YMCA Stingrays, and I swim for Framingham
High School. I also work as a swim instructor, lifeguard, and swim
coach! Some of my highlights as a swimmer include Top 10 in New
England in 2019 and breaking the freshman record in the 200 free at
Framingham High. I also medaled at states and sectionals for my both
of my independent events in both 2021 and 2022!
Following in my footsteps, my
younger brother also joined competitive swim and is very quickly
approaching my times- much to my horror!
