Zaixian Xie's Home Page  Chinese Version

Welcome!  I am a Ph.D student in the department of computer science at WPI.  My advisor is Professor Matthew Ward.  I came from China.  I was born in Ankang, Shaanxi province.  It is a beautiful city that I always missed after I left to Beijing.   I obtained my Bachelor degree and Master Degree in Computer Science at the University of Science and Technology Beijing.   I had been an instructor for four years at this university until I came to WPI.

There is a bunch of information about my research and life in my home page.  Have a good trip!

Research

My research interest focuses on information visualization.   I am a member of Xmdv research group and working on data quality visualization on multivariate data.  Xmdv group is led by Professor Matthew Ward, having been working on the research and development of XmdvTool, a public-domain software package for the interactive visual exploration of multivariate data sets.  Many exciting ideas came during our work of ten years.  You can find most of them  in our on-line documents.
