WPI Wireless Association -- Since 1909
Wintertime

Each winter, the WPI Wireless Association strings up hundreds of holiday lights on its main tower. The tower is located on top of Salisbury Labs on the WPI Campus. Since WPI is located on a hill, the lights can be seen from miles away. For the 1994-1995 season, we put up 604 lights in the form of a Christmas tree: 2 sets of 25 lights form the trunk, 7 sets of 75 lights form the branches and 29 white lights form the star. In 1997, we also assisted in putting up lights on our advisor's tower, Bob, NA1Q, across the street. For the 2001-2002 season, 526 lights adorned the Higgins Labs tower, and 625 lights adorned the Salisbury Labs tower.
