SPORTS

Since I was 6 years old I have been playing tennis competitively and it has been a huge part of my life. I especially enjoy spending time together as a team. Although tennis is mainly an individual sport, there are still team components to it. From freshman year to sophmore year, I was part of the Acton Boxborough Regional High School's varsity team as the third singles player and as we worked together as a team, we were able to make it to the final 4 teams in the state during my freshmen year.

Along with tennis, I enjoy skiing very much. I have skied from a young age with family and friends and it has always a fun activity to do together. From being only able to ski on bunny slopes, I am now able to ski on much harder slopes and I hope to continue practicing to go onto greater heights.

TRAVELING

Hving a large extended family is probably one of my favorite things in the world. Everytime when we are together, there is never a boring moment between us. It may seem chaotic but that's what makes spending time together extremely fun. Together, we have traveled to many different places such as the Grand Moon Palace, India, Florida, Colorado, and California. It is never just a still moment for us as we always explore each place we travel to and keep ourselves busy through activities such as ziplining or parasailing.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

In freshman year of high school, I started an online class for Ekal Foundation that taught young students, between the grades of 5 and 8, various concepts of chemistry and how we can apply that in the real world. It was a memorable experience and although it was online, I got an opportunity to bond with the kids and pass down my knowledge over to others. I  also was able to channel insights from my STEM-related learning to my volunteer role at Winchester Hospital, meeting patients and helping to ensure that they were in a comfortable and welcoming environment. Additionally, I was able to shadow various departments such as the MRI department where I learned how the scans worked and what doctors are using the scans for. I have also shadowed the labor and delivery department where I was able to gain lots of experience on communicating with mothers with newborns.
