CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION!
OLD TOURNNEY WRITE-UPS
Here's a teaser of what's to come:
Jay Boland was the real founder of WPI ultimate as he introduced the game to
our dorm floor in our Freshman year (1977-1978). This floor became the
core of the Ultimate team for the next 3+ years. We lost our first
game something like 32-8. This was a great "wake-up" call and by the fall of 1980
we had a very good team. We won the 1980 fall club sectionals (no
college division) over reigning champ Middlebury and even made the
semi-finals in the regionals (top spot went to Club Nationals). Of
course, we were now over our heads and on that Sunday morning the other
three teams (all national contenders) had lengthy and heated discussions
about the top seed so they could play us. We ended up playing Boston
Aerodisk (Nationals runner-up) and took a quick lead before getting
blown out 25-8.
