Research

The research work in the Microfluidics and Bionanotechnology Laboratory at WPI focuses on integrated microfluidic platform for biomedical applications. Finite element analysis is applied for the study of microfluidics transport and surface reaction kinetics and the design of chip-based device. Fabrication of microfluidic biochip by micro/nano manufacturing technologies is of interest in this laboratory. Electrical and optical characterization of the biomolecules assembly at the chip surface are applied. Novel micro- and nano- materials and fabrication technology for neuron science, novel nanoassembly for drug delivery are other thrusts of interests.
