Computer Science is a pretty cool class. It is actually the reason why I am making this website! You will learn a lot of useful computer jargon, too! On one of the first days in this class we took apart a computer and put it back together! Let me tell you that putting it back together was a lot harder!
We are learning about a program called Scheme. In Scheme we learn about different programming tools from structures to booleans/conditionals.
Over the year, we have done many labs and when I look back at things we have done in the beginning of the year, I realize how much i have grown. Things that might have seeme impossible or especially tricky are now more basic code. In order to understand the program, you must put in a lot of effort.
In this class, my main creative piece has been building this website. This is the most creative because I had never really used html before and once I started, it became easier. Plus, personalizing your website is always very fun! :)
My favorite lab also happens to be the one I am most proud of. The pong lab, in which we had to build a pong game using Scheme was so fun and was really enjoyable. I think this was my favorite because not only was I partnered with my friend, we built a great game.
The lab that I least enjoyed was Lab #7. In this lab, we were learning about lists of structures. We were supposed to make our own store of a product of our choosing. The reason I don't understand this lab, is because I am not entirely confident with lists in Scheme. However, I am sure with practice this skill would come to me.
My least favorite lab, I received my highest grade on. In Lab #8, we were working with Natural Numbers and iterations. The reason I dislike this lab was because it used many functions that required the random Scheme function. This just makes it more confusing.
