Officers

In the SPS, there are currently 5 officer positions. They are: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Webmaster. These officers are elected each year in C-term to begin serving in A-term of the following year.

Along with these formal positions, there is another, more nebulous position of Wonderful Speaker Coordinator (WSC). In previous years, this has been a single person. However, starting this year, in 2009-2010, the WSC Elizabeth Gould proposed setting up a voluntary committee to organize the Wonderful Speaker colloquia. How exactly this will work and how well it will work remains to be seen, as the idea was proposed less than a month ago. For more information on the Wonderful Speaker Colloquia, please go here.
