Welcome!

Hello all! Welcome back to those of you who are returning from last year, and a general welcome to those of you who recently joined! We are delighted that you've decided to join us, and hope that we can live up to your expectations over the coming year.

The first thing to note is that our meeting schedule has changed. While we used to meet every week, we found that all too often our meetings would deteriorate into watching physics videos on YouTube. While this can be entertaining, we feel that our club would be better served if we instead make sure to have quality events on the weeks we do have events. We're aiming for 3 or so events per term. Thus, we will be holding less events this year, but we hope that they will be of higher quality.

Also, the site is finally getting updated! I got busy last year, and had some other issues going on, and as such, I really fell behind on updating the site. I will not be allowing that to happen this year. As such, I'm going over and doing a much needed update of the site. Thus, if some of the wording or pages look rough, please bear with me.

Finally, I will be using this front page to provide weekly updates, both in what's going on around the club and in the physics world in general. For this week, we have our first real meeting! On Wednesaday, we will be making liquid nitrogen ice cream. This is always a favorite event amongst...well, amongst everyone! Dude, it's freaking liquid nitrogen and ice cream! For more details, see our Events page.

Hope to see you on Wednesday!
