I am the director of the Robot Autonomy and Interactive Learning (RAIL) lab. My research interests span interactive robot learning, human-robot interaction, and human computation. My work focuses on building systems that are able to learn from interaction with users, and that are able to understand their own limitations and ask for help from humans when necessary. I am particularly interested in active learning and the development of algorithms that enable learning agents to regulate their autonomy.
