Hello, and welcome to my website! I am Suhrit Ghosh or সুহৃৎ ঘোষ, a current junior at Mass Academy. My sending school is Shrewsbury High School, and I have lived in Shrewsbury my whole life. I am of Indian descent, and my mother tongue is Bengali. My parents are from Kolkata, a city which I love to travel to and visit my family!
A longtime hobby of mine is music! I have been playing the piano since I was 6 years old, and the violin since I was 10 years old. In my free time, I arrange music for Bengali cultural programs as well. Aside from this, I am currently a part of Worcester Youth Symphony Orchestra.
Ever since we went into lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic, I started exploring casual photography. For me, I believe that it is a great way to express oneself, while capturing snapshots of our lives! Here is a photo dump of some of the pictures I have taken over the past few years:
At my sending school, I was a member of FRC Team 467 Center of Mass. I initially joined as a programmer in my freshman year, but later switched to the electrical sub-team in my sophomore year. Aside from this, I was one of the team photographers (check out our pictures in our 467 Flickr album!), and coached younger students as part of our FLL program. Here at Mass Academy, I would like to further my robotics experience by joining Team 190!
Origami is a unique art form itself, requiring time and patience. It is quite relaxing, and leads to intricate creations being made! The specific type of origami that I make is known as three-dimensional or modular origami; each creation is comprised of hundreds of small modules, interlocked together without any glue.
