February 28, 2007 - Say Ahhh...
Good evening, my name is Dr. Secretary, I will be performing the checkup today. Just lie back and relax, I'll do all the work. Now let's see...Hm, it looks like you've got a missing Friday Gaming, possibly the result of damage to the Schedule Node. That's easy to fix, I'll just write you a note here, and you can take this to get it replaced with a Thursday Gaming. They'll put it in the same spot, right there in the Wedge. The pain will subside in no time at all.
Oh my, this is a bit strange... it looks like your Battlestar Muscle is healthy... but it's being blocked, it could be that a Term Break is disrupting the flow of blood through that area. Hm, I'm afraid there's nothing I can do about this, but I understand there are some alternative medicines that are told to help with this kind of suffering. Perhaps finding a friend with a TV would be in order, yes... Otherwise, the only thing that can heal this is time, I'm afraid.
Oh, it looks like your Babylon Gland is quite healthy. No problems with it at all, in fact. I understand Wednesdays after long, stressful club meetings are the best time to exercise the muscles in that area.
I did you a small favor and removed this strange Acronym that was hanging out of your ear, that's a little unsanitary, don't you think? I don't think "ELTMTAL" really means anything anyway.
Okay, we're going to have you come out here into the Waiting Room, I'll be back shortly. In the meantime, if you want, just outside Dr. Kate's office we have some cool stuff to play with (it's pretty old, actually... reminds me of when I had this stuff when I was a kid). In fact, while you're dealing with this Term Break business, if you could perhaps bring some of your own old retro toys, perhaps you and the other patients can get together and have somewhat of a Retro Toy Day. If you do decide you want to try that, you can email Dr. Kate.
Alright, I'm going to need you to come over into the GAC Office for a moment. I'll just need to test your Punt Levels... While I'm at it, I was wondering if maybe you'd be interested in helping out around here once in a while. To be honest, we're having sort of a hospital gathering soon, they call it Gaming Weekend. If you would be at all interested in helping run the event, maybe work a few hours, why don't you drop a line to the folks out at the front desk, Tess and Chrisco.
Mkay, I'll just put this in the vial and bring this to the labs, but before I do, have you been vaccinated for Meteoroids? It's sort of this space-faring version of this virus called Meteor, I think this strain deals with science fiction in particular. I hear there was a not-so-small outbreak last year about this time, it even took over a good deal of the Gaming Weekend. Dr. Ben, down the hall there, has some more information. In fact, they appear to have these "Character" things now, I think it's some kind of flavor thing. If you have any preference, you can make an appointment with him.
Oh, I've got good news, too. In case you get some sort of fancy for reading materials, our magazine rack over there, under the sign that says "Library", is increasing in size! But ah, in order to get it up and ready in time for when this Term Break epidemic slows down, it'll require some volunteer work. Oh, I know! Perhaps this or next weekend, you can help out. If you're interested, you can either email the main office, or you can get a hold of the Library Technicians, Jansen and Robyn.
Oh my, this is rather depressing, in a happy way. Your Punt Count came back, but it's pretty low, at 9.5. Keep exercising those Battlestar Muscles and such, this number is far too low.
I think we're about finished here... oh, ah there's a note here from the former Chief of Medicine, M. Anastasia. It says here that he's looking for people to join him in a game of Twilight Imperium either Thursday or Friday. If you're interested, perhaps you ought to email him with when you're available to play.
I think that'll be it, just stop at the front desk to make your next appointment, should be about two weeks from now I imagine. Ta!Dr. Secretary
