Our theme is set: Why do oil prices fluctuate? We have already started to name the major variables in the oil supply chain.

Just in case you were wondering, here are the addresses to get free versions of the 3 main pieces of SD modeling software:

HPS: ithink 6.0 Demo & Stella 6.0 Demo
PowerSim: Powersim Studio 2000 Express
Vensim: Vensim PLE

Watch Out! Vensim and Powersim limit the size and complexity of the models you can make in their free software, while High Performance Systems (ithink, Stella) does not allow you to save your models!

Also, Vensim will work on Linux through WINE.

We are working on developing web-based models and web-distributed models for people to use as a learning tool but for now, take a look at other people's work on modeling.
