System Dynamics is an exciting field that builds and uses computer simulations to solve dynamic problems -- problems that change over time. It is used in a variety of fields, from business, environmental, medical, to social systems. One example in business is creation of business simulators so newly graduated managers can test their skills before actually running a company.
The purpose of the System Dynamic Club at WPI is to provide a rich and enjoyable environment where members can promote and learn applied system dynamics methodology for its constituents, the campus community at large and from recognized experts in the field.
WPI System Dynamics Club brings events related to System Dynamics and other fun events to the community of WPI and Worcester college Consortium. Those events include lectures, heated discussions, games such as the "Beer Game," and things we all enjoy, including trips, picnics, dances etc.

The SD Club meets this A term on Tuesdays of every week
at 3:00 p.m. We gather in Atwater Kent room 126 to
discuss SD issues, plan upcoming events and activities,
and socialize. Feel free to join us! (There is frequently
good, free food, too...)

SD Club Election
PRESIDENT The president's duties shall be to preside at all meetings, to appoint all special committees, and to be the chairperson of the board of directors. The president shall represent the club at official functions. VICE PRESIDENT The vice president shall be primarily responsible for promoting the events and affairs of the System Dynamics club. The vice president shall perform the duties of the president in the president's absence. In the event of vacancy of the presidency, the vice president shall succeed to the presidency. SECRETARY The secretary shall keep all records, except financial, perform such other related duties as the president delegates, and prepare a written report of each meeting. The secretary shall also maintain and update the membership list. TREASURER The treasurer shall be responsible for making all necessary expenditures when authorized by the president and faculty advisor, keeping financial records. The treasurer will perform such related duties, as the board of directors shall delegate. WEB MASTER The web master shall be responsible for designing and maintaining the club web site. The web master is required to coordinate with the board of directors in order to keep the site current. Email sdofficers@wpi.edu to nominate yourself or others. We just a while back played a riveting game of Fish Banks. There was food (not fish) and there was fun. There was industry-dominating greed. If you think events like Fish Banks and The Beer Game are cool, and you are interested, ask us about it, since we will have such events in the future!
