The Student Alumni Society assists the Student Activities Office with the New Student Orientation Program. The two events that
our organization coordinates are the Scavenger Hunt and the Earle Bridge Ritual. The scavenger hunt is a fun activity during which orientation groups
decipher clues that lead them to various important campus locations and help each group learn about WPI's rich history and traditions. The Earle Bridge
Ritual is a very impressive and memorable experience. On the last night of New Student Orientation the incoming freshmen class proceeds along a
candlelit pathway led by members of SAS. As they cross the bridge they receive a copy of the Tech Bible and a beanie; welcoming them to the WPI
community through a long lasting tradition.
