Welcome to WPI and congratulations on choosing one of the best engineering and science
colleges in the country. The WPI community is growing rapidly and it anxiously awaits the
contributions that you have to offer.
One of the reasons you chose to come to WPI was to obtain a first rate education. However,
this education alone cannot even come close to preparing you for what awaits after
graduation. There are many organizations at WPI and in the surrounding community that will
allow you to supplement your education with social and real life experience. While you
will receive the necessary academic training from your professors, these organizations
will allow you to learn to deal with and relate to your peers, enjoy your free time, and
develop valuable traits such as leadership and responsibility. There are many such
organizations available to WPI's students, yet it is our belief that the fraternity system
is the best means to accomplish this.
We realize that your view of a fraternity right now may resemble something like the movie
Animal House. Even though some fraternities at other campuses may be like
that, we know that there is so much more to fraternity life than just partying.
At SAE we are a
group of individuals living together for the purpose of academic success, career
development, and social interaction. We pride ourselves on our dedication to academics,
community service, friendship, and tradition. We are approximately 40 brothers living in
two adjacent, well-kept houses sharing the WPI experience.
You see, we are not looking for one specific type of person. We are looking for good
people that will aid in the success of our fraternity while having fun, creating life long
friendships, and above all, accomplishing personal goals as an undergraduate of WPI.
At SAE we can
provide the necessary tools to give the most complete education possible. Our members are
a diverse group of men from all parts of the country, working together to be a successful
group on campus. We are willing to offer you an opportunity to accept responsibility,
enhance leadership skills, make lasting friendships, and participate socially.
We at SAE
encourage you to explore the opportunities offered by the Greek system at WPI. If you are
interested in enjoying your college experience to the fullest, check out SAE!
Look for us on campus and well be looking forward to meeting you!
Good luck,
The Rush Chairmen
