"I'm not carefree, no, I'm free to care I just never do."
Hi my name is Rachel Maillet and I am a student at Mass Academy! Before coming to Mass Academy, I went to Leominster High School. I am a relatively quiet person, but once you get to know me you'll see that I'm pretty much the opposite. Although I may be that girl in the class that does not talk much, I'm very outgoing and a little bit crazy at home and with my friends. I enjoy playing the guitar and ukulele when I'm not busy with homework (which we do get a lot of by the way). During the summers I lifeguard at the state pool in Leominster. I have a wonderful family and a sister that I can easily call my best friend. I also have two dogs named Jack and Cocoa and one rabbit named Oreo.
So far, I am having a very enjoyable time at Mass Academy. For classes, I am currently taking math modeling, physics, humanities, computer science, Spanish, science and technical writing, STEM, and robotics as an elective. All of these classes are taught by wonderful teachers. I would not say that I have a favorite class yet, but I really enjoy humanities. All of the other students that attend Mass Academy are very well-rounded and very nice to be around. In comparison to my sending school, Mass Academy is very different (more academically challenging, organized, and relaxing...surprisingly).
As for hobbies and interests, I am a huge music buff! I really enjoy watching movies and TV when I get the chance to. I really love the movies of the Matrix trilogy (Keanu Reeves...YES), Across the Universe, and Zombieland. Comedy movies are also very entertaining (Horrible Bosses, Role Models, and Superbad). My ultimate favorite TV show would have to be Buffy the Vampire Slayer (just because it's about vampires does not mean it's the same as Twilight...ew...and all of the other awful programs about vampires that everyone loves today). Some other great TV shows include The Walking Dead, Lost, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Six Feet Under. I also enjoy collecting Buffy the Vampire Slayer trading cards and comic books as well as The Walking Dead comic books.
